What types of jobs do most expatriate spouses/partners have? Locally based or telecommuting? Full-time or part-time? Can you comment on local salary scales?
It is not a good place for expat and foreign service spouses to find jobs. German language is an absolute must to find a job on the local economy and jobs are limited. I have heard there are no jobs at the US consulate for spouses. Salaries in comparison to west Germany are lower. - Aug 2018
