Are there problems with ethnic, race/racial minorities or religious prejudices? Gender equality?
Expats will encounter prejudice from some locals on a somewhat regular basis. Usually it won't go beyond someone saying "hello!" in a mocking voice, or calling them "laowai", but cumulatively it can become an irritant. Blacks can expect added prejudice. - Sep 2015
