Is it easy to make friends with locals here? Are there any prejudices or any ethnic groups who might feel uncomfortable here?
No. It is not easy to make friends with locals. You will make friends in the expat community though. The locals are very, very laid back. If they say anything bad about you it won't be to your face. - Jul 2021

Locals are very bound to their family and tribal constellations. There are lots of obligations within those units, and even if they befriend you, you're not really part of that society. - Mar 2020
