What is the best way to make phone calls back home?
FSM Telecom has a monopoly and is at capacity. Call quality is low, and on average my calls to the U.S. or Asia get cut off 2-3 times per call. Some people who live in town say they have used Skype successfully. Do not direct dial - using prepaid scratch-off phone cards from FSM Telecom will save you up to 60% off direct dial rates.
