Are qualified veterinarians and/or good kennel services available? Do animals need to be quarantined upon entry to the country? Are there other considerations regarding pets that are particular to this country?
There is a vet, but I don't know about quality. There is no quarantine, but the entry and exit customs requirements can be time consuming and annoying. People have dogs and walk them outside, but it's just on the street and they aren't allowed in the parks. It seems like a little bit of a sad life for dogs. Only one of the consulate apartment complexes allows dogs, but more of them allow cats. - Jun 2024
Kinda-sorta. We have avoided going to the vets as much as possible. There are some decent ones, but you find out about them via word of mouth. I would not kennel my animal here; people like pets, but aren't necessarily good with them. We had in-house quarantine with our pets when we arrived. - Mar 2019
I don't have a pet, but many co-workers have received good care for theirs. - Jul 2016
At home quarantine. Not sure on pet care. - Aug 2014
We don't have pets. I think it is becoming more and more of an ordeal to ship pets anywhere, and getting very expensive. I don't know of any kennels, but I am pretty sure there are vets. - Nov 2013
