Are credit cards widely accepted and safe to use locally? Are ATMs common and do you recommend using them? Are they safe to use?
Brazzaville is a cash economy. Checks can be cashed with the cashier at the embassy. Credit cards can be used at large grocery stores but often times the machines are not working. There are a few ATMs around town, but I do not know their reliability. - Jul 2020
