The big three here are soccer, cricket, and rugby. Almost all sports are played at schools level (even primary schools) and you can find great coaching clinics for extra practice if wanted. We've found private music tutors through local bands and schools. Cape Town tends to be pretty kid-friendly in general. - Feb 2018

Yes and Yes. If you have a driver or are a stay-at-home parent, your kid can do anything from horseback riding to fencing lessons. The American School offers soccer, tennis, basketball and swimming as after-school activities. - Aug 2013
