Milan - Post Report Question and Answers
What is the availability of international schools? What has been your general experience with them, if any?
There are a number of International schools available. As I don't have a child in school I can't say about quality etc. - Sep 2016
Not a lot of personal experience with this. There are several options and people seem happy with them. There is an American school here that is very pricey - more expensive than the quality. Americans like it though. There is a good British and Canadian school. French, German, and Swiss schools too. If you are paying out of pocket, most expat options are expensive! - Aug 2013
I did not have children, but I heard mixed reviews about the American School of Milan. One of the biggest complaints I heard was that it is located quite far from the city and was not easily reached by public transportation. - Jun 2010
Schools are very expensive and these outrageous prices trickle down to extra cirricular activities, if they are provided. Most of the schools in Milan are private and provide a better education than most U.S. public school systems. But when compared to private schools in the U.S., I would have to say the U.S. has Milan beat. The American School of Milan does now offer non multi-age classes for the lower school. - Jan 2008
