Is this a "shopping post"? Are there interesting handicrafts, artwork, antiques, or other items that people typically buy there?
Maltese lace is something I'm told one should buy. I'm terrible about shopping, so I did not buy anything while I lived there. - May 2023

Lots of cool glasswork. A ton of lace if you're into that. Antiques are dicey as the Maltese impose strict export controls on anything considered "antique." They do try to protect their heritage if nothing else. - Sep 2016
If you like religious items, this is your place. There is local glow blowing, which is beautiful. Silver filigree is mastered here. There is also beautiful needlework and lace in Malta. - Jan 2014

Locally blown glass and pottery are of decent quality but these industries appear to have been developed for tourists. You should spend it on diving lessons and the local scuba tours. - Feb 2010
