What is the overall climate: is it extremely hot or cold, wet or dry, at any time of year, for example?

It rains. A lot. But in general, the weather is mild: not too hot in the summer (most homes/apartments do NOT have AC and you don't need it but a few days a year), not too cold in the winter.
