Would someone with physical disabilities have difficulties living in this city?
There are limited sidewalks and ramps. South Africa is likely more accessible than most countries in the region, but it's not comparable to the US. Major malls and shopping areas have easy access and elevators to aid persons with physical disabilities. - Sep 2024
There have been some efforts to incorporate accessibility features in newer buildings and developments but its inconsistent. If you were determined and creative it might be possible to live well here but it wouldn't be easy. - Sep 2010
