What is the air quality like at post (good/moderate/bad)? Are there seasonal air quality issues? Does the air quality have an impact on health?
Overall good! We're right on the coast, so it's breezy and fresh. There are occasional water quality issues at some beaches, as the pump stations are outdated and require frequent maintenance. Check the local water test results before swimming, if it's a concern for you. Durban is a major port, so expect some areas of high pollution, especially in the harbor. Get out of the city north or south and it's nothing but clear water and beautiful seas. - Sep 2024
