East Jerusalem - Post Report Question and Answers
Is this a good city for single people? For couples? For families? Why or why not?
For adults, the entertainment options are not great. Slightly better for kids as there are lots of parks in the west and a few museums, plus the old city in the east. The restaurant scene in the East is limited, though improving. In the West, nearly everything closes for the Jewish Sabbath (Friday afternoon-Saturday evening), so on the weekends it is really boring. For entertainment, we go to either Tel Aviv or Ramallah. - May 2006
