What is the relative size of the expatriate community? How would you describe overall morale among expatriates?
The US has a medium sized mission. From what I could tell, the Canadians, British, Spanish have a small presence. Morale at the embassy was decent pre-covid. - Jan 2022
Very small. Morale is varied, a little on the lower side. It's what you make of it. - Aug 2021
The expat community is fairly small. The other missions that are represented have only a handful of people. If you have kids, you are more likely to know the expat community through the school. - May 2021
Small community. High morale. Most people end up extending here. - Oct 2014
About 60 embassy people, not sure outside of that. - Sep 2011
Decent. The U.S. by far the largest Embassy. There are relatively few American business persons, though a few more Europeans. One measure is the size of the international school - 70-odd students. - Oct 2009
Small but variable. In the summer, thousands of Armenian diaspora return and flood the hotels and center of Yerevan. For the balance of the year, there aren't many casual visitors. The U.S., U.K., France, Italy, and Germany are the sizeable Western Embassies. Many diplomatic missions to Armenia are resident in Tbilisi or Moscow. - Jul 2008
There are many NGOs and some USAID projects here but few other embassies (Italian, Chinese, Syrian, British) so it's hard to put a figure on it. - Jan 2008
