Are qualified veterinarians and/or good kennel services available? Do animals need to be quarantined upon entry to the country? Are there other considerations regarding pets that are particular to this country?
Vet care is super affordable! Quarantine is not required coming from the States, kenneling services are great and very affordable too. - Feb 2021
No quarantine required. Veterinarian care here is very cheap, although it does not always meet US standards. Still, you can find good English-speaking vets with good bedside manners and skills - and when you do, never let them go! Recommend Zverynas Veterinarijos Klinika or Toto Clinic. - Sep 2020

Excellent veterinary care, though sometimes the vet's English is not great. Our vet here diagnosed our dog's digestive problem after two others had not. No quarantine; standard EU requirements and we now have an EU pet passport for both our cat and dog. Flea and tick routine is important, especially if your dog goes outdoors and to parks. - Mar 2017
Good vets, including English-speaking. Kennels aren't common, but there are a few that are okay, not great. Better to arrange a puppy-sitter or house-sitter. Import/export as a diplomat is easy. Lithuanians like dogs but many here aren't friendly so they won't approach your dog to pet (which I like!) and it's best not to approach theirs. - Mar 2017
