YES!!!!! Security concerns are all-consuming here. It is a home-to-work, work-to-home kind of post with very few amenities or opportunities to see the country. Don't expect to picnic at the Khyber Pass or spend a weekend in Chitral. It's not happening. - Aug 2010
Security in Pakistan is continually declining. In the past year there have been several incidents of foreigners being kinapped or killed. Like all other cities in Pakistan there are bombings in public places throughout the year. - Feb 2009
