I think it would be pretty difficult as there is no ramps in most buildings. There is sidewalks in the street but people usually park on them, so they are not usable. - Aug 2017

Muscat is a driver's town, so getting around is probably tough. Sidewalks are not consistent, distance between attractions is far, and traffic is erratic. - Jun 2012
It would be somewhat tough. There are handicapped spots but they are frequently taken by able-bodied folks, some ramps. Outside of Muscat it would be much harder. - May 2012

There is some attention to handicapped access, e.g., ramps on sidewalks and entrances to buildings, and most shops and malls are built at street level. It should be okay, but I may just not be sufficiently sensitized to the issue. - Jan 2010
There are a few handicap parking spots throughout the city, but they aren't always reserved for those who need them. Sidewalks are intermittent as well as ramps to the sidewalks. - Mar 2009
Yes. There are few accommodations for the disabled in public buildings and other facilities. That said, the newest buildings, such as the large City Centre mall, have ramps and travelators that would accommodate wheelchairs. - Feb 2008
