Geneva - Post Report Question and Answers

What do you wish you had known about this particular city/country before moving there?

Not a lot of culture or tourist stuff in Geneva itself. Most major traveling art exhibitions skip it, so you need to go 2-3 hours to Lyon, France or Zurich to see the good stuff. - Dec 2024

I’m waiting for the cost of things not to shock me. 250-600 for an oil change broke my heart. - Jun 2022

Not really. The discovery was fun. - Jul 2018

While it's a lovely place for small children (clean air, lots of outdoor space), this is not a child-friendly society. Kids are often not welcome in stores and restaurants and you'll get dirty looks for bringing them especially if they make any noise (with some exceptions, notably the restaurants associated with grocery stores). Highchairs are hard to find and when you do find them they're in poor condition. There is a surprising lack of indoor play space for kids on those gray, rainy days. - Mar 2014

That there is no school inclusion for students with disabilities. But we will change that ;) - Mar 2014
