Yes. If you have your CPF (Brazilian national ID) before you come to Brazil, you can have someone set up your home internet and local cell phone service via the Web and be at your place to have it set up before you arrive. GVT - the newest service offers 15mb but has been slow to react to demand for their product. Oi and Hotlink are other options and have up to 8mb and 1mb repsectively. Packages range from $50-$100/month. - Jan 2011
