What accommodations do schools make for special-needs kids?

The school has limited resources for special-needs children. For this academic year, the school hired a dedicated Special Needs counselor, but politics and churn see him moving on after this year. I am unsure of any plans to replace him in the foreseeable future. - Apr 2015
