Would someone with physical disabilities have difficulties living in this city?
It depends on the disability. Most facilities are very modern, but sidewalks are not often wheelchair accessible. - Jul 2021

Yes, it would be extremely difficult. There are no sidewalks in downtown Riyadh. The diplomatic quarter has constant construction and the sidewalks are always broken. - Oct 2015

Yes they would. This country does not have the physical disability act like we have in the States where we are required to have ramps, railings, etc. to assist our disabled community. - Dec 2013

Depends on what you want to do in Riyadh. If you just want to go to a few of the nice malls and restaurants, you'll be fine. If you want to go elsewhere, this is not a city that's well designed for fully-abled pedestrians, much less anyone with physical disabilities. - Dec 2009
