Ideas that you are going to explore Mexico. In order to get anywhere in Mexico you have to fly to Houston (unless you are on official travel and can use the Mexican airport). You can't drive into Mexico and the little bit of Matamoros you get to see is a weird mix of borderland culture as opposed to what you may think of as traditional Mexican. - Aug 2015
