Bad in the spring, good in the rainy season. - Aug 2023
Dry season can be rough on people with breathing problems as there is more dust and smoke in the air, but nothing horrible. - Jan 2023
Fine. - Aug 2018
Air quality is fine. - Feb 2017
Usually the air quality is excellent but during the dry season, the smoke from fires and the smog can hang heavy. With the rains, the air is lovely. - Feb 2015
It's fairly high altitude with some pollution, but I haven't noticed any issues with day-to-day life or short outdoor runs. - Jan 2015
Generally the air quality is reasonable. It can get a little bad early in the year when it's dry and there's not much rain, but it's generally a little windier then too. I haven't ever been bothered by the air quality. - Oct 2014
We lived in an area with lots of new construction so dust and dirt everywhere was a real issue. - May 2014
Good. - Apr 2014
Being at about 5,000 feet, the air is dry and warm. Air Quality is usually pretty good, but those with allergies can tend to suffer. - Jun 2013
The air quality is moderate. Some days are better than others. - Jan 2012
The air quality here is reported to be better than in Mexico City, but in parts of the city there is a strong pollution haze that sinks down into the lower parts near the airport and makes it hard to breathe. - Jan 2011
Everything you read says there is horrible pollution in Guadalajara. We haven't really experienced it where we live. The air quality is pretty poor near the airport, though -- and in the warmest months of May and June it can get hazy in other parts of the city as well. - Jun 2010
