What are the technology requirements for students? Do they need their own laptops/ipads? How is technology integrated into the classroom and homework?
School provides devices. Technology is heavily integrated but there is also effort to balance screen time with assignments off of the screen. Students are now learning to be thoughtful about using the Chat GPT--what is appropriate and helpful and what is not. - Jun 2023
Middle and High School students need to purchase their own MacBook laptop. Teachers are very big on Microsoft OneNote and Teams with a tremendous amount of resources available, class notes, extra practice, videos in the classroom online notebooks. Students use Teams to message one another and their teachers outside of the classroom. Assignments are often turned in through the online platforms. - Dec 2022
iPads are provided in elementary school and MacBooks from middle school up. Technology is integrated into their learning in healthy doses with typing classes beginning in 3rd grade. However this digital media is balanced with plenty of outside time on the amazing playgrounds and lake. - Nov 2022
